Frequently asked questions

What does a vehicle assessor do?

An assessor determines the type and extent of the damage to a vehicle, calculates the repair costs and evaluates consequences such as a loss in value. The result is a written report.

When is a report worthwhile?

Above all after an accident you did not cause, and when the damage is more than minor. For minor damage, a short report is often enough. We advise you on this in advance.

Who pays for it?

If you were not at fault, the other party's insurer usually covers the assessor's fees. We clarify how this applies to your case before you commission us.

How quickly can I get an appointment?

Report the damage as soon as possible. We will get back to you and arrange an appointment that suits you.

How is this different from a repair quote?

A repair quote only lists repair costs. A report also documents the extent of the damage, the loss in value and other items, and serves as evidence.

What does loss in value mean?

Even after a professional repair, a vehicle that has been in an accident is often worth less when sold. We determine this difference in the report.

How long does the report take?

That depends on the damage. After the inspection, we give you a specific date for completion.

Can I choose my own repair shop?

You decide on the repair and the repair shop. Our report documents the damage independently of that.
